You will find a series of works here that are sculptural, performative and installation based. These 4 dimensional works are informed by and inform investigations in two dimensions seen elsewhere on this site.
There is no here; here.
to bear; a dance on the snake
Table for one (the performance)
This work contains the contents from the “to bear; a dance on the snake” in an installation including multiple radios playing recordings of people “living or dead” I would like to have dinner with. This audio is edited from interviews where I remove the interviewer. Each file on a separate radio is played in overlap so that it feels like a dinner party where everyone is talking.
Temperance; through the fire
An installation within an airstream trailor, parked in Twisp, WA just after a summer of ravaging fires. This work contained videos of mourning and transcendence.
partition; rail dance.
Whirling
symmetry; a dance with the devil
Wearing 6 radios playing on full volume tuned to different stations I walked from skid row to downtown in Los Angeles, CA.
Farewell; Good Mourning
An installation coupled with audio of people in my life whispering “row, row, row, your boat”
high noon
An installation paired with audio from Evan Ziporyn’s “this is not a clarinet” edited to only play the the breathes and keypads between notes
Another; Black Eye
A collaboration with Spencer Moody to exorcise the former bureaucratic den of the INS building in Seattle, WA. A space all immigrants had to transverse this work is composed of the solo sounds from the mathcore band Botch’s record “unifying themes”
